ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: INTERCESSION
Howdy!
How are you doing this absolutely spectacular day?
We’re continuing in somewhat the same prophetic vein of the previous two Coffee Breaks, and I want to take up a theme of prayer and fasting within the realm of intercession as it relates to government and our responsibility as believers in Jesus Christ.
ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: WHAT’S NEXT?
Good Morning!
Today’s Coffee Break is somewhat of a follow-up to our last post titled: 2012. Some clarifications are in order, and I’d like to encourage all those of you who believed or hoped (as I must confess I did) that John McCain would be elected.
ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: 2012
Greetings and Salutations!
Most folks who’ve known me over a period of many years know that my primary ministry tends to be prophetic in nature with a strong emphasis on teaching.
Many of the Coffee Breaks have a prophetic element in them, but I can’t recall ever actually sending out one of these posts as a Word of Prophecy. This Coffee Break, therefore, will be quite different from any you may have read.
ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: THE CONSEQUENCES OF CHOICE
Some folks have taken offense to my discussions concerning this (and past) elections, and one reader even suggested that I was “politicizing the Lord” with my commentary. It’s a shame when folks only see the commentary from a “conservative” or “liberal” point of view instead of recognizing the spiritual consequences of our choices.
ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: A CALL TO PRAYER
Dutch Sheets is a brother in the Lord whom I first met some 26 or 27 years ago. He was already a man of great wisdom and integrity in God when I first met him, and in the years that have passed, he has grown into a prophet, pastor and teacher of some considerable renown.
ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: THE POLITICS OF MURDER
No topic has more galvanized the conservative right nor angered the liberal left than the subject of abortion rights. When I ran for Congress, my Republican primary opponent was pro-abortion, and yet a professing born-again, committed Christian. Because the two positions — pro-abortion and pro-life — are at such diametric odds with each other, I came to the conclusion that either my opponent was ignorant of the Word of God on the subject of abortion, or her “professed Christianity” was nothing more than a political ploy to gain the support of conservative Christians in our congressional district.
ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: THE CAUSELESS CURSE
“As the sparrow in her wandering, as the swallow in her flying, so the causeless curse shall not alight.” (Proverbs 26:2, Amplified Version)
ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: POLLS DON’T COUNT PRAYERS
Sound like a funny title?
I’m not trying to be facetious, but it is important to consider something in this election — and virtually every national presidential race since 1976.
ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: PRAY, VOTE, PRAY
There is so much at stake in the November 4th Elections that it has become incumbent upon me to share some perspective — especially with those of you who have spiritual eyes and ears, and understand what is at stake.
ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: LAKELAND REVISITED
Felicitations and Blessings!
Before we begin today, let me say that I’ve marveled at some of the response to K-E XXXIII. With a one-paragraph reference to Todd Bentley and the religious reaction to his personal problems, some folks have taken personal offense. Some simply reacted with a How dare you call me religious attitude, and even a few longtime subscribers decided to unsubscribe from the Coffee Breaks. I feel badly for people who react like this.
